Camera techniques make a film more interesting. They add depth and they have the power to enhance any film. These are my attempts at 10 techniques like, whip pan whip cut, whip zoom look, search up, back to front, focus out pass out, focus transition, over and underexpose fade, ceiling twist, shifting angle and sleepover. Enjoy.
I watched this video not expecting much, but I was pretty impressed by the quality of the camera work. The focus-out/pass-out shot was a particular favorite of mine; it demonstrated a masterful grasp on depth of field or something like that. It was good.

Although this video was just a project we were supposed to make last year, I think that it could also be very helpful for students to use when they need more inspiration for shots to use in their projects.

This was a very inspirational film. You should definitely enter it into festivals! Or carnivals. This film crept deep down and pulled at my heartstrings. I can proudly say that I teared up a bit near the end. Overall, definitely a must-see.

ReplyDeleteI wish there was more explanation to the video as to show how or why each shot would be used.
ReplyDeleteI agree, and its a bland background, but the nice video. Your title could use some creativity. CHwang
DeleteI love the look of your blog! Super cute. I think the fact you embedded the video in the post itself it adds to the post!
ReplyDeleteI thought this was a pretty good video. I like the style of it, and it gives a pretty good tutorial to different shots. :D
ReplyDeleteP.S. This is disgusting
The backround could use a little life but all in all a great video
ReplyDeleteIt's a great informational video. It really shows the variety of shots we have to use in filmmaking. The one thing I can say is that try to explain what each shot means and maybe how you did those shots. Explain the use of whip zooms and front to backs why are they important to film? Many see these as cool shots and don't necessarily see what each mean. Great video though just give more of an explanation.
ReplyDeleteOld post, yet these shots can always be used, no matter how old this gets.
